Admin accounts and masjids
You can delete your account, or your whole masjid, yourself in the admin portal:
- Sign in at portal.masjidnexus.com, or in the iPhone or Android app.
- Open Account & Profile, then Delete account.
- Choose what to delete, and confirm by typing the masjid’s name or your email address. If you use an authenticator app, you’ll be asked to sign in with it.
What you can delete depends on your role:
- A primary admin can delete the whole masjid, with its screens, content and followers, and the accounts of its admins who don’t manage another masjid.
- You can delete just your own account if the masjid still has another primary admin. If you’re its only primary admin, first make another admin a primary admin, or delete the whole masjid.
- If you have a login but no masjid (you were removed from it, or never finished setting one up), sign in and choose Delete my account below the masjid details. It’s deleted straight away, since there’s nothing to restore.
- If the portal can’t do it for you (for example, you manage more than one masjid), email support@masjidnexus.com from your account’s email address and we’ll do it.
What happens
- Straight away: a deleted masjid disappears from the congregation app, its screens show that it’s no longer registered, and its portal becomes read-only. If you delete only your account, you lose access straight away.
- For 30 days you can change your mind: sign in before the date we show you (and email to you) to cancel.
- After 30 days, we permanently delete the masjid’s data (its profile, prayer settings, screens, content, images, followers and team) and the accounts being deleted. A deleted masjid’s subscription is cancelled, so it isn’t charged again; the rest of the year isn’t refunded.
Logins without a masjid
A login that hasn’t been linked to any masjid for 90 days is deleted automatically. We email you a week before, so you can sign in and set up your masjid, or ask its admin to invite you again, if you want to keep it. An invitation that’s withdrawn before you ever signed in is deleted along with its login.
What we keep
- Payment, invoice and tax records, as the law requires.
- Support conversations.
- A log of the emails we sent, and a record that the deletion took place.
- The record of your acceptance of our terms, for 6 years.
The congregation app
The app has no account. To remove your data:
- Unfollow a masjid to remove that follow record straight away.
- In the app’s Settings, choose Clear All Data. It stops notifications, deletes your follow records from our server and resets the app on your phone.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything on your phone. Any follow records left on our server are deleted after 90 days.
TV screens
A TV keeps only its masjid’s display data. Deleting the masjid removes its screens, and uninstalling the TV app clears the TV.
